BIOGRAPHY
“Dr. Philemon Huang is an established Senior Consultant Ophthalmologist with a unique dual-focus on Glaucoma Management and Refractive Surgery.
Graduating from the National University of Singapore in 2008, Dr. Huang obtained his Master of Medicine (Ophthalmology) in 2012. He was awarded the prestigious Ministry of Health HMDP Award to complete a specialized Glaucoma Fellowship at Sydney Hospital & Westmead Hospital, Australia.
Prior to private practice, Dr. Huang served as the Head of Glaucoma Services at Khoo Teck Puat Hospital (KTPH), where he spearheaded community eye screening initiatives like the award-winning CHESS Program & G-CARE Program.
Today, he combines his expertise in preserving vision (Glaucoma) with the skillset of restoring it (LASIK & Cataracts). He is one of the surgeons in Singapore skilled in the wide spectrum of vision correction—from TransPRK and SMILE Pro to glaucoma-related MIGS (Micro-Invasive Glaucoma Surgery).
Beyond the clinic, Dr. Huang is a passionate educator, having received the NHG Teaching Award for Senior Doctors, and actively serves in the Children’s Ministry at New Creation Church.”

A Dual-Specialist Approach
Clinical FOCUS
"Dr. Huang is one of the ophthalmologists in Singapore to hold dual sub-specialty interests in both Glaucoma Management and Refractive Surgery. This unique combination allows him not just to restore vision through laser and lens procedures, but to safeguard your long-term eye health against silent diseases."
