The OneLaser™ TransPRK Plus Procedure: 3 Simple Steps

What to Expect

From start to finish, you will be in the surgical suite for just a few minutes. Here is exactly what happens during your painless procedure.

    Preparation & Numbing

We administer numbing eye drops so you feel absolutely no pain. Your eye is gently stabilized to prevent blinking.

    Laser Reshaping

A single, high-precision laser removes the surface layer and reshapes your vision simultaneously in few seconds to under 1 minute.

    Protective Contact

A clear, protective contact lens is placed over the eye. This acts as a temporary "bandage" while your surface cells naturally regrow.

Recovery and follow-up care

Understanding the recovery timeline

Recovery is similar to OneLaser™ TransPRK. Vision may be blurred in the first few days as the surface heals. Follow-up visits are important to monitor recovery.

  • Next 24–72 Hours

Your eyes may feel gritty or watery as the surface regenerates. Keep them closed and rest in a dark room for the best start. Use prescribed lubricants to aid in comfort and recovery.

  • Day 3–7

Discomfort fades as your doctor removes the bandage lens between day 5 to 7. Your vision will begin to sharpen significantly from this point.

  • Ongoing

Vision continues to stabilize into high-definition. You’re back to your routine, enjoying the freedom of flap-free results.

Clarifying Your Concerns

frequently asked questions

We understand that eye surgery can feel daunting. Here are honest, transparent answers to the questions we hear most often from patients and their families

OneLaser™ TransPRK Plus is a non-contact laser procedure designed to correct refractive errors such as myopia, hyperopia, astigmatism and presbyopia. The laser precisely reshapes the cornea without creating a corneal flap, preserving corneal strength.

Suitability is determined after a detailed eye assessment. It may be recommended for patients with thin corneas, higher prescriptions, or those for whom flap-based procedures may not be ideal.

Unlike LASIK, OneLaser™ TransPRK Plus does not involve cutting a corneal flap. Unlike traditional PRK, the surface cells and vision correction are treated in a single, bladeless laser step, reducing mechanical manipulation of the eye.

The procedure uses an FDA-approved excimer laser with real-time eye tracking. Its non-cutting, bladeless approach is suitable for patients with specific clinical needs, including those exposed to high forces in their work or sports activities.

Recovery varies depending on individual eyes. Some patients may experience mild discomfort or temporary vision fluctuations. Your ophthalmologist will provide personalised post-treatment guidance.

Most patients experience significant improvement in vision. The need for glasses or contact lenses after treatment depends on your eye’s response and initial prescription, which will be discussed during your assessment.

Other options may include SMILE Pro, ICL (Implantable Collamer Lens), or LASIK. Your ophthalmologist will discuss the safest and most suitable method for your eyes.

Laser vision correction is not claimable under Medisave in Singapore. However, 0% interest installment plans are available for eligible patients.
