Like many of my patients, I lived most of my life with myopia. In 2021, I chose to undergo Laser Vision Correction myself, allowing me to experience the procedure and recovery journey through the eyes of a patient. Zeiss SMILE Pro corrects vision through a small corneal incision without creating a large flap.

Cataract surgery involves removing the cloudy lens of the eye and replacing it with an artificial lens. This procedure restores clear vision and is typically performed on an outpatient basis.

Cataract surgery is considered when cataracts interfere with daily activities like reading, driving, or seeing clearly at night. Your eye doctor will assess the severity of the cataract and recommend surgery when necessary.

Cataract surgery is minimally invasive and typically performed under local anesthesia. Patients may experience mild discomfort during recovery, but the procedure itself is not painful.

Most patients notice improved vision within a day or two of surgery. Full recovery usually takes a few weeks, and follow-up visits are necessary to monitor healing and vision improvement.
