"I experienced this technology with my own eyes."

Like many of my patients, I lived most of my life with myopia. In 2021, I chose to undergo Laser Vision Correction myself, allowing me to experience the procedure and recovery journey through the eyes of a patient. Across a smooth recovery journey, I was able to let go of the daily reliance on spectacles and rediscover the simple joy of waking up each morning to clear, natural eyesight.

Common questions

Clarity Before You Commit

You have questions about safety, recovery, and costs. We have transparent answers. Select a topic below.

We provide personalised vision correction after eye assessment. Options include OneLaser™ TransPRK, Zeiss SMILE Pro, and non-laser lens implant surgery such as Phakic IOL (ICL).
Suitability depends on your prescription, corneal condition, and eye health.

OneLaser™ TransPRK is a no-cut, no-flap laser procedure that reshapes the cornea to correct myopia, hyperopia, and astigmatism.
The treatment is guided by laser tracking technology for precision and may be suitable for patients with thin corneas or high prescriptions after evaluation.

Zeiss SMILE Pro corrects vision through a small corneal incision without creating a large flap.
This approach helps preserve corneal strength and may support faster functional recovery for some patients.

Suitability is determined through a detailed eye examination and clinical assessment. Your eye specialist will review your prescription, corneal thickness, and eye health before advising on the appropriate option.

Cataract surgery involves removing the cloudy lens of the eye and replacing it with an artificial lens. This procedure restores clear vision and is typically performed on an outpatient basis.

Cataract surgery is considered when cataracts interfere with daily activities like reading, driving, or seeing clearly at night. Your eye doctor will assess the severity of the cataract and recommend surgery when necessary.

Cataract surgery is minimally invasive and typically performed under local anesthesia. Patients may experience mild discomfort during recovery, but the procedure itself is not painful.

Most patients notice improved vision within a day or two of surgery. Full recovery usually takes a few weeks, and follow-up visits are necessary to monitor healing and vision improvement.

Yes, we accept various company insurance panels. Please contact us to verify if your insurance provider is on our list of accepted providers.

Laser Vision Correction is currently not eligible for Medisave claims in Singapore. We have instalments and other payment methods available. Please check with us for eligibility and the specific claim process.

We strive to provide clear and transparent pricing for all treatments. Any additional costs will be discussed upfront before any procedure or treatment is carried out.

We offer multiple payment options, including credit/debit cards, Medisave (where applicable), and installment plans. Please speak to our staff for more details.

It is recommended that children have their first comprehensive eye exam at age 3, or earlier if there are concerns about vision or eye development. Regular check-ups should follow as they grow.

Common conditions in children include nearsightedness (myopia), farsightedness (hyperopia), astigmatism, amblyopia (lazy eye), and strabismus (crossed eyes). Early detection is crucial for effective treatment.

Signs of vision problems in children include squinting, tilting the head, frequent rubbing of the eyes, difficulty focusing on close-up objects, and trouble with reading or seeing distant objects.

Amblyopia treatment often involves patching the stronger eye to encourage the weaker eye to develop. In some cases, vision therapy or corrective lenses may also be recommended.

I had an excellent experience with Dr Phi and his team at OneVision during my consultation for the TransPRK LASIK procedure. Dr Phi is truly and gifted and amazing doctor. He breaks down complex terms in a way that is easy to understand and patiently addresses every concern. I appreciate that he provides advice on all the available options without any pressure, allowing patients to make the best decisions for their lifestyle. His clinic is equipped with world-class technology, and his medical skills are exceptional. He has also been my family’s trusted eye doctor. He treated my mum’s cataract with the same dedication and care, and when I asked about bringing my son for his first eye check, he took the time to explain how he works with children — kind, versatile, and reassuring. I also love his new clinic — it is well-organized and thoughtfully designed to create the best patient experience. His team also deserves mention as they made the whole experience comfortable and pleasant while explaining everything clearly. I would wholeheartedly recommend Dr. Phi and the OneVision team to anyone seeking the highest standard of eye care. You’ll be in excellent hands!

Had a very wonderful experience at OneVision. I did my eye test at OneVision. Then Dr. Phi patiently explained my eye condition simply and clearly so it was very easy to understand. Dr. Phi also asked about my daily routine and told me what he could do for me. He also went through the surgery process, the minimal risk involved and what to expect after the surgery, including the recovery process. Grateful to have him perform the surgery and had amazing results as he outlined. Definitely someone I would recommend should anyone need an eye specialist!

Doctor Phi and his team at OneVision are very professional and caring. I felt I was in really capable hands at every step of the way from the consultations and tests before the surgery to the follow ups after the lasic. I was briefed on the different types of lasic options that were available and which ones suited me the most. They also went through in detail the whole process and the various stages of discomfort I'll experience in the days after the lasic surgery to prep me in advance. Overall, I felt that they did an excellent job 👏.

The best eye doctor ever! My husband and I underwent TransPRK with Dr. Huang a year ago at his previous clinic, and he has been a very sincere, friendly, and professional doctor to us. He is always attentive, ready to listen, and very personable and understanding of our concerns and worries. When I later had a chemical injury to my eye, I went to Dr. Huang at his new clinic for treatment. He was extremely reassuring, patient, and professional throughout my care. I’m truly thankful to have Dr. Huang as my eye doctor, and I would highly recommend him to anyone looking for excellent eye care. Thank you Dr. Huang once again!!!

I had an excellent experience during my recent visit to OneVision for a second opinion after my initial consultation with a public specialist. Dr. Philemon is extremely thorough and attentive, taking the time to explain my condition clearly in simple, easy-to-understand terms. I really appreciated how he ensured I fully understood the issue and the options available. The clinic is also equipped with state-of-the-art, advanced equipment, including video imaging that clearly showed how my eyes react. This made the entire consultation even more insightful and reassuring. Additionally, two of his staff members were exceptionally friendly and patient throughout my visit, which made the whole experience comfortable and pleasant. Dr. Philemon is our family’s go-to for eye care. When we found out my mum needed cataract treatment, we went straight to him for advice. His recommendation for the best lens for her condition was a real blessing—my mum now has perfect eyesight! From the first consultation right through to post-surgery recovery, his attentive and reassuring manner made the whole journey restful for my mum and our family. He also took extra care to advise us on the administrative requirements so we wouldn’t be shortchanged when making our insurance claims. When my son fell and his glasses broke, cutting his face, Dr. Philemon attended to him as soon as he could. He checked my son’s eyes and gave us sound advice on getting professional care for the facial injury. He also made my son feel much better during the treatment, which meant a lot to us. His professional ethics and genuine care for patients are truly commendable.

Getting your eyes fixed can be a bit of an unnerving experience, but with Dr Phil, you’ll be in great hands. I have perfect vision now thanks to him. You are made to feel comfortable and at ease right from the beginning. Dr Phil is patient, honest, truly listens to any concerns you may have, and takes the time to explain things clearly. He is a master of his craft, and I wouldn’t entrust my eye health to anyone else. Special shoutout also to the nurses at OneVision for their patience, hard work, and making the clinic such a pleasant place to come back to every time!

WONDERFUL EYE SPECIALIST FOR ADULT & KID I have visited many specialists over the years, including eye specialists, but after searching for years, I have finally found the right eye doctor. Dr. Phi is truly a God sent doctor for my family. He explains eye conditions in very detail, yet in a way that is very easy to understand. Whenever I have any eye issues, I know where to go, and I feel completely at ease knowing I am in his hands. I never have to worry about my eye health when I see him. Dr. Phi is also a wonderful and very patient doctor with children. My child had an eye issue, and we previously visited another eye specialist but were never told the root cause of the problem. Only after visiting Dr. Phi did we finally understand the cause, the correct treatment, and how to prevent it in the future. He always explains everything thoroughly : what caused the issue, what treatment is needed, and how long recovery will take. Despite being highly knowledgeable and skilled, Dr. Phi is extremely humble and kind. Based on my family’s experience, recovery has always been even faster than his estimated timeline (he is aware yet he is very humble). I am truly grateful to have found him.

A remarkable experience, from the moment I stepped into the clinic, i was greeted by friendly nurses that helped with registration and administration of the various eye tests, to the professional consultation by Doctor Phi. Doctor Phi set my heart at rest with his honest and confident assessment of my eye condition (suspected glaucoma). I left his clinic feeling extremely at peace and worry free. I would highly recommend Dr Phi and his team for anyone with an eye condition that needs looking at.
